Town of Telluride- Seasonal Positions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include structuring lesson plans and instructing swim lessons.
Minimum Qualifications
Current CPR and First Aid certifications required; Red Cross WSI and lifeguard certification and previous teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Knowledge and skill in working well with children.
Environmental Factors
While performing the duties of this job, work is performed outdoors in and around the Town Park pool and Town Park; is subject to high UV rays.
Physical Factors
Includes standing or walking a majority of the time, with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching; working on irregular surfaces; ability to sustain heavy physical exertion; ability to perform in adverse weather conditions.
Salary
4-20 hours per week (weekdays 8:00 am-12:00 pm). Positions are available from June 25th- August 15th.
$17.50- $18.50 per hour DOQ; an end-of-season bonus of $1.00/hour worked if the full season is completed.
