Seasonal Maintenance Worker

Job Summary

This is a seasonal position, beginning in Spring and concluding towards the end of the Summer with the possibility of becoming a regular full-time town employee. The seasonal maintenance worker performs manual work including basic grounds maintenance and improvements and assists with more involved tasks and projects (including irrigation, landscaping, trash removal, cemetery upkeep, etc.). Performs basic facility, playground, and park maintenance repairs and improvements and assists with more involved tasks and projects. Assists in identifying maintenance needs, planning & scheduling maintenance activities, and maintaining applicable maintenance records. Assists Maintenance & Facility personnel with related duties as needed. Performs other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, must be able to possess required knowledge skills, abilities, and experience and to be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Other related duties may be assigned.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

• Morning shift

• Overnight shift
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Springfield, SC 29146 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Springfield, SC 29146: Relocate before starting work (Required)
