PUBLIC WORKS LABORER
The Town of Newport, NH seeks a qualified individual for the position of Permanent Part-Time Custodian.

JOB SUMMARY: This position performs routine buildings and grounds custodial cleaning and maintenance work in Town Buildings, in order to provide a safe, clean environment for employees and the public.

Ability to perform other related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The successful candidate will have: Knowledge of the equipment required to maintain the facilities, including but not limited to, lawn mowers, weed whackers, and other entry level equipment. Some knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in custodial and grounds maintenance work. Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures, practices, methods and materials. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions in assigned are essential. High School Diploma with some experience desired, and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Possession of a valid driver's license required.
