Performs pickleball instruction. Work involves leading instructional pickleball clinics and classes for individuals of all ages and skill. Work requires knowledge of the game of pickleball’s rules, techniques, and equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Fitness Specialist.

• Instructs participants on fundamental pickleball techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Responsible for court set-up; performs opening and closing duties.
• Develop and deliver pickleball clinics and classes for participants of various skill levels.
• Provide constructive feedback to help participants improve their pickleball skills.
• Uphold safety standards. 
• Maintains cleanliness of pickleball courts and reports any maintenance needs.
• Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Thorough knowledge of the sport of pickleball and program operations; thorough knowledge of rules, technique, and safety standards; ability to perform duties as a pickleball instructor; ability to address concerns of the participants and deliver customer service effectively; ability to deliver pickleball clinics and lessons as assigned; ability to communicate ideas effectively, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, community organizations and the general public.
Any combination of education and training equivalent to graduation from high school. Experience as a pickleball instructor is required. Must be eighteen years old to apply.

• Possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Requires drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check prior to employment.
• Possession of CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification desired.
