Part-time Swim Instructor Positions;

• Saturdays 10:00am – Noon
• Hourly rate based on certifications and experience
• Provide individual instruction for varying ages
• Educate participants on proper technique and promote swimming safety
• Provide lesson plans as appropriate
• Conduct swim evaluations
• Preferred candidates will have at least one year experience in teaching swimming to children ages 6 months and up
• WSI certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with children to build confidence in the water
• Teach with enthusiasm and creativity to create a positive learning environment
• Have equipment ready before class begins and store it properly after class
• Be courteous and give sincere attention to participants and parents
• Support a welcoming environment for all

The Town of Mamaroneck offers learn-to-swim classes for children of all ages and abilities. We follow the American Red Cross curriculum, which encourages learning to swim in a safe and fun environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
