Town of Lincoln Parks & Recreation DepartmentLincoln Summer CampProgram Specialist (5 positions based on programs below)GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Town of Lincoln is seeking mature, responsible, and dynamic individuals to run specialty programs for the Lincoln Summer Camp. Lincoln Summer Camp is a traditional outdoor day camp that includes sports, swimming, S.T.E.M, nature, crafts, special events and field trips for children entering Grades K through 9. Candidates must be available to work 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday from July 1 to August 9, 2024, and commit to the entire season. Additional pre-season hours are required for planning, orientations and training.
Applicants must be friendly, enthusiastic, responsible and enjoy working with children! RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops age-appropriate curriculum based on one of the following programs: Arts & CraftsS.T.E.M (science, technology, engineering and math)Sports & GamesEpic Adventure Activities (i.e. water games, hiking, scavenger hunts, etc.)Music & DramaPlan, implement, and supervise activities based on one of the programs above, for the Lincoln Summer Camp (grades K-9). Assists with daily operation of the camp program.
Reports to Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director. QUALIFICATIONSMust be 21 years of age or older.Ideally possess or are working toward a bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or a related field.Passionate about working with children and teensCurrent American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certified RATE OF PAYSalary of $20/hr commensurate with experience
