Town Maintenance

The Town of Lamont is looking for a motivated individual to do town maintenance. This will be a full-time position Monday – Friday 40 hours per week. We are looking for an immediate hire.

Qualifications:

§ High School graduate or equivalent

§ Knowledge and experience in areas of general maintenance, code enforcement etc.

§ Must be able to lift and move up to 100 lbs. Standing for multiple hours per day.

§ Self-Motivated individual that can work independently with minimal supervision or as a team member.

§ Effective communication skills

§ Valid Drivers License and clean driving record

§ Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check.

General Description: The Town of Lamont Maintenance position is responsible for day-to-day maintenance. The position is diverse and job duties may vary daily and require you to work in all types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

§ Responsible for performing direct day to day maintenance to include diagnosing and solving problems for the Town of Lamont

§ Proficient at operating all equipment and materials used in street maintenance including snow removal, patching, repairing culverts and drainage, construction, and reconstruction and blading of town streets.

§ Reading and reporting of water meters, spot check meters, replace meters as needed, compliance of warning and shut off meters for overdue payments or inactive accounts.

§ Mowing, weed eating, spraying, irrigation with performing repairs as necessary - seasonal.

§ Conduct code enforcement to include permits, weeds, trash, animals at large, property condemnation and property compliance.

§ Maintain shop and inventory.

§ Ensure ground and building maintenance are operational by performing routine and preventive maintenance along with cleaning of tools, equipment, and machines with reasonable capabilities.

§ Required to take emergency on-call.

§ All other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
