Town of Frisco is Hiring a Recreation Programs and Events Lead Near Frisco, CO
JOB This non-exempt (hourly) position provides planning, logistical and administrative support for Town events, youth programs, and community programs. Assists in the hiring and supervising of seasonal and variable special event and program staff. This position is hands-on and requires occasional long hours due to programs and events.Pay Grade 4:Hiring wage range = $24.85 - $30.51Full wage range = $24.85 - $36.18 EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Assists in planning and executing Town of Frisco programs and special events. Work in a team-based environment supporting the Event and Programs Manager, Youth Programs Supervisor, and the Events Supervisor. Responsible for logistical and administrative tasks associated with events and programs. Including but not limited to: Set-up and take-down of tents, tables, chairs, supplies, equipment and other event/program infrastructureSet-up and take-down of Town portable stage and lightingSet-up, take-down and troubleshooting of event electricWaste removal during events and clean-up after events, including waste (trash, recycling and compost) removal and return of equipment used during eventTrailer drivingRegistration software updatesWebsite updatesAssist in the process and execution of events throughout the year. Leads program activities, organizes play and structured classes, so children and youth are engaged and fully participating.Adheres to all state licensing and public health requirements for childcare operations.Acts as a liaison and primary point of contact with parents.Interacts with guests, parents, and program participants in a positive, professional manner utilizing excellent guest service standards. Assists in coordinating with vendors and non-profits on events and programs. Assists in hiring, scheduling, and supervising seasonal and variable events and programs staff.Acts as the supervisor on duty in the absence of the Youth Programs Supervisor and the Events Supervisor. Purchases supplies, processes payments and assists in tracking the department budget.Attends meetings and staff trainings as required.Has ability to work independently with the ability to make sound decisions in the absence of a supervisor.Contributes to and monitors event and program related content on www.TownofFrisco.com. Offers internal support to Town of Frisco Recreation Department in preparing for events, including working day-of as needed.Other Responsibilities: Adheres to Town of Frisco policies, competencies, standards, and regulations including but not limited to proper attire, safety procedures, and overall professionalism.Ability to function and make good decisions in the absence of a supervisor.Communicates with Town of Frisco employees, citizens, customers and vendors in a professional, courteous and timely manner both verbally and in writing.Performs other job duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.
