Under general supervision of the Community Services Director, the Parks Maintenance Superintendent supervises staff of four Parks Maintenance Workers and manages the maintenance planning, and routine activities of grounds maintenance and improvement of town parks and facilities under the responsibilities of the Community Services Department.
The Parks Maintenance Superintendent performs work involved in leading, planning, organizing, maintaining, directing activities and projects of the Parks Division. The Parks Maintenance Superintendent works with the Community Services Director to develop short and long-term planning, safety programs, and budgets, as well as, assisting with Capital Improvement projects and other assigned projects.
The Parks Maintenance Division proudly maintains five parks, landscapes for eight town office buildings, three town facilities, and five public areas that include the Charles Whitlow Rodeo Grounds and the Poston Butte Preserve for a total of approximately 347 acres. In fiscal year 2025-2026, adding 5.5 of linear trail along the Central Arizona Project (CAP).
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, plus (5) years of public parks maintenance experience. Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License.
