TOWN OF DAVIE is Hiring a Community Services Intern (Housing and Grants) Unpaid Near Davie, FL

SALARY:Unpaid Internship or "for credit" internshipVarious clerical level duties (including typing, filing, and computer input) within the Community Services Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists residents in completing grant assistance applications for the appropriate program and explains the programs and its requirements to determine eligibility.
Assists the custodian of paper and electronic records pertinent to housing programs, not limited to correspondence, reports, and technical materials.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

Ability to conduct research and make recommendations.
Ability to prepare technical reports.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, coworkers, elected and appointed officials, and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, marital status or political affiliation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or universitywith a major in social work, public administrative or similar field.

Monday through Thursday; flexible daytime hours.
