Town of Breckenridge is Hiring an Ice Guest Services Attendant Near Breckenridge, CO

The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated, highly responsible and customer service oriented individual for the position of Ice Guest Services Attendant (Recreation Attendant). Ice Guest Services Attendants are responsible for interfacing with guests in order to meet or exceed guest needs with respect to facility, program or service needs. This includes providing information, implementing or carrying out preplanned programs or activities, assisting with program planning, handling cash, enforcing policies or procedures, and generally representing the department in the most quality and service-oriented manner possible.
The individual in this position is responsible for providing excellent guest service; greeting guests; conducting membership, pass and pro-shop sales, monitoring on ice activities, light custodial duties; and providing information and explanation of services and programs offered by the Recreation Department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must have received a High School diploma or GED, or must be currently enrolled in High School/GED program.
  • Must have one (1) or more years of customer service experience.
  • One (1) or more years of cash handling experience required.
  • To qualify for this position, the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
  • Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
  • Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire. 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • One (1) or more years of experience working in a recreation facility preferred.
  • One (1) or more years of retail experience preferred.
  • Intermediate or higher level ice skating skills desired.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with organized hockey and/or figure skating programs desired.
  • Candidates with availability to work daytime shifts during the week and weekend shifts, and who have flexibility to work two (2) or more shifts per week are desired.
Hiring Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Primary shifts for this position are typically six to eight (6-8) hours in length and generally include weekends, holidays, days, and nights between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and midnight, and a typical schedule of 10 to 20 hours per week, with additional hours as needed. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
