Duties of Gate Attendant include welcoming our guests, collecting fees for daily tickets, and selling season passes at the Pond entrance. This position is responsible for enforcing parking rules, knowing Pond information, and providing outstanding guest service. Gate Attendant will be responsible for money collected at the gate each day & for daily financial closing procedures. Work is performed under regular supervision.

RESPONSIBLE TO: 

Pond Director(s) & Supervisors

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle all admission procedures at the front gate throughout the day and in reconciling the day’s financials at the conclusion of the day with accuracy in counting of cash/check and admission passes processing.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge and understanding of customer service and ability to ensure customer relations and expectations are met or exceeded. 
• Ability to work outdoors: subject to extremes in noise, temperature, etc.
• Intermittent standing to assist customers.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and deal effectively with interruptions.
• Ability to understand, learn, interpret, and explain policies and procedures, and to apply such guidelines appropriately to different situations.
• Ability to interact effectively and pleasantly with a wide variety of individuals, including customers, co-workers, outside professionals, and members of the public.
• Ability to understand, select and perform basic mathematical calculations efficiently and accurately. 
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
