A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .

  • Oversees the Produce Dept. in the absence of Dept. Manager and Assistant Manager
  • Creates and role models exceptional retail experiences through customer interactions
  • Trains new department employees
  • Writes orders and maintains retail price integrity and accuracy
  • Handles freight, stocks product, and maintains proper signage on all products
  • Maintains all aspects of accurate receiving, billing, quantity, quality, grade, food safety, returns & credits
  • Must work towards maximizing total overall market sales
  • Assists Department Manager with any duties as needed
  • Maintains department in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
  • Supports and follows all company and department policies
  • Supports and follows sustainability program
  • Supports and follows all safety and security policies
  • Keeps up on industry trends/standards/changes
  • Demonstrates attitude of service to co-workers and customers
  • Operates within the Company’s Core Values and Company Brand

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .

  • Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in Produce
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for cooking, nutrition, selling, and creative merchandising
  • Must possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by example
  • Willingness to take calculated risks to maximize sales
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills including MS Office
  • Must possess an attitude of service to others
  • Demonstrates self-discipline and accountability
  • Must be accurate and detail-oriented
  • Must be a team player, a leader, and a positive role model
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a diverse group of customers, employees, and leadership
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills including excellent record-keeping
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Ability to take direction and carry out department tasks and assignments
  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching) and have excellent manual dexterity
  • Exemplifies health department standards
  • 18 years or older

USD $22.40/Hr.
