Audit Coordinator

The Audit Coordinator plays a collaborative and strategic role partnering with all business units to identify and report on all internal audit issues. They are a key partner to the supervisory committee and executive management in the reporting and identifying audit issues. Our external audit partners rely on this person for the scheduling and management of all audits.
Function and Responsibilities
The Audit Coordinator coordinates scheduled audits done by external partners and NCUA. They are responsible for supplying requested material to auditors prior to the audit. Leading frequent meetings with the audit team to report audit findings and report progress on findings is key to ensuring all findings are completed per outlined schedule. The Audit Coordinator will ensure all departments are notified of future audits and prepared ahead of time. They will coordinate, monitor, and plan Vendor Management Program and Business Continuity Plan review and training.
Experience & Education
One year to three years of similar or related experience. A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
