Tower Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Client Services Associate I Near Hanover, MD

Note: All full-time positions include the option of $0 out-of-pocket premium cost for Employee Only PPO AND exceptionally low premiums for all other PPO coverage levels.

Tower is offering a $1000 Signing/Retaining bonus as of 1/20/2023.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Client Services Associate (CSA) is the primary department contact for all potential, new, and existing members. The CSA provides all types of investment, financial planning and brokerage account support, as well as credit union share and loan services. The CSA performs a wide variety of administrative duties, including system data entry and information retrieval, as needed to support member service duties, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Industry regulatory statutes, as well as internal policies and procedures. The CSA teams with a Wealth Advisor(s) to service the advisor’s clients and help process new clients.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Serves as primary contact for all potential, new and existing Members, and services all products/services offered by Tower Financial Services and the credit union. Could include screening for level and type of assistance, scheduling appointments, coordinating member seminars and supporting member referral program activities.
  • Responds promptly to member inquiries (by telephone or in person)and member’s requests for information regarding a full range of products/services offered by the Tower Financial Services and the credit union; the incumbent may also initiate contact with members as part of follow up activities and to assist in evaluating member satisfaction with services rendered.
  • Researches and resolves account problems and discrepancies in a professional, timely manner. Makes necessary corrections and resolutions, as appropriate, escalating problems to the senior when necessary.
  • Partners with assigned Wealth Advisor to service members. Responsibilities include assisting with communications, documents and other administrative functions.
  • Completes internal and external forms or documents accurately and completely, ensuring efficient processing of member requests.
  • Participates in ongoing position-relevant education/training as required or directed by management.
  • Completes other relegated duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS or equivalent certificate plus five years of experience in the financial services industry or business environment supporting Managers and/or Directors in a team environment.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to learn about products, services, regulations and the overall functions and procedures of the operational departments within Tower Federal Credit Union as well as key third-party providers or business partners.
  • Proficiency with a PC in an internet and Microsoft Office environment.
  • Ability to speak effectively with confidence and follow detailed instruction.
  • Ability to solve regular, reoccurring problems, and promptly refer complex issues to knowledgeable staff or management following through to satisfactory resolution.
  • Ability to complete concurrent tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under stress to complete assignments and successfully meet expectations.
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks to successful completion.
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Has knowledge of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures and all regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work the hours needed which may extend beyond the defined work schedule when operating conditions dictate
