Outdoor Recreation Coordinator

Hours: 9:30am - 3pm

Pay: $15 per/hour

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Recreation Coordinator to join our team. As a Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing recreational activities and programs for our facility. Plan and implement outdoor activities, maintain outdoor equipment, and supervision of students in the program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides customer service to all participants in activities and programs in the area of assignment.
• Plan, lead, and participate in Camp activities.
• Ensure safety of students in outdoor playground area.
• Maintain outdoor equipment and proper use of equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Summer camp, education, or outdoor experience.
• Comfortable in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of sporting activities (basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, pickleball, ultimate frisbee).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Mobility, strength, and stamina to perform physical work for extended periods of time.
• High school graduate, or equivalent.
• Experience in supervision of children.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Monitoring center health and safety compliance policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Position is predominantly outside on playground area. Required to maintain appropriate hydration. Able to withstand heat and high temperatures. Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, crouching, bending, vision, hearing, talking, use of foot controls. May be subject to extended periods of standing, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and lifting such as setting up.
