PRIMARY FUNCTION: Supervise youth in childcare facility and during bus transportation.

Hours: 6:30pm to 9:00am, 2:00pm to 7:00pm

Monday through Friday

GOAL: Create an environment that facilitates the safety and wellbeing of students .Support bus drivers as they transport children to various destinations

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):.).

o Provide guidance, role modeling, and proper supervision and safety to students in facility and on bus.

o Provide positive reinforcement and feedback to students to encourage, motivate, and build confidence in students.

o Mentor youth in provided facility areas (Indoors/Outdoors).

o Maintain and organize the bus, safety equipment, and student paperwork

o Plan and implement programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programing, and the learning experience at all times.

o Willingness to engage with Parents and Families

• Assisting Administration in providing reports and proper tracking for parents .
• Assist in implementing parent surveys, training, and feedback.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• May consult with parents concerning student’s behaviors and progress
• On time arrival for center opening times
• And other duties as assigned
• Must pass a criminal background check

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with administrators, teachers, and tutors (professional and volunteer), students, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in achieving academic success.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma, Associates Degree preferred
• Experience in working with children
• Ability to organize and supervise students in a safe environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (hot or cold)
• Standing/Sitting for extended periods of time
• Exposure to periods of loud or excessive noises
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
