Maintenance Specialist

The Association of Apartment Owners of 909 Kapiolani is seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Person(s). 909 Kapiolani consists of 232 residential and commercial units. The ideal candidate will have experience with building maintenance including some knowledge of booster pumps, fire pumps, swimming pool maintenance, landscaping, drywall installation, plumbing, painting, carpentry, waterproofing, electrical, and air conditioning systems. Some tasks may overlap with that of the housekeeper and may need to perform husekeeping duties as the backup for this position. The Maintenance Specialist must represent 909 Kapiolani in a friendly and professional manner to owners, renters, visitors, and contractors.

Position requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English and follow oral and written instructions in English.

· Ability to work outdoors and on top of ladders. Fall Protection Classes will be provided.

· Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull 100 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, reach overhead.

· Have knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electricity.

· Have knowledge of landscape maintenance.

· Have knowledge of pool maintenance.

· Ability to use power tools and equipment.

· Have a positive, service-oriented attitude towards residents.

· Must be professional, honest, responsible, and reliable.

Scope and Compensation Package:

• 40 hours per week.
• $24 - $26 per hour. Based on level of experience.
• Three weeks paid vacation after one year of employment
• Ten paid holidays.
• Medical, Dental, Prescription and Vision Insurance paid in full for the employee
