We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring dietary needs are met
- Providing personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Implementing behavior management strategies and promoting positive social interactions
- Ensuring the rights and dignity of individuals are respected at all times
- Assisting with medication management and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting individuals in accessing community resources and participating in recreational activities
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of client information
- Performing heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility

- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in assisted living or hospice care settings
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to promoting independence and self-determination
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and team members
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
