Job Description:

• Assist supervisor to run the daily production in the glazing and kiln section, including robot spraying, loading/ unloading kiln cars, receiving/ testing glaze, patching, manual spray, etc.
  and keeping production running when supervisor is not present.
• Help supervisor to complete production paperwork, including inventory, production reports, Glost reports, etc.
• Perform trouble shooting and preventive maintenance, including robots, tunnel kilns, shuttle kiln and other equipment in glazing and kiln section.
• Assist technical engineers and maintenance section to perform process improvement and/ or equipment repairing projects.
• Perform other work/ projects in glazing and kiln section assigned by supervisors and/ or section manager.
• Perform trouble-shooting and preventive maintenance including robots, tunnel kilns, shuttle kiln and other equipment in Glazing and Kiln department.
• Perform kiln car checks and repair kiln cars when necessary.
• Manage shuttle kiln loading/unloading and startup/shutdown procedures.
• Responsible for preparing A-paint.
• Must have working knowledge of each operator position in order to perform each job when necessary.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of PC based system utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
• Good knowledge in glaze, robot and kilns, including operation, trouble shooting, maintenance, etc.
• Leadership skills are preferable.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
  Education and Experience:
  High School Diploma or GED. One (1) to two (2) years of related experience with basic math skills (accuracy is a must) Minimum of six (6) months sit-down forklift truck experience with completion of training certification. Working knowledge of PC based system utilizing Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  Work Environment:
  The work environment consists of an indoor/outdoor facility with limited heat in winter, not air conditioned in summer in the manufacturing work area. Summer heat is moderate. Minor exposure to odors from lubricants/preservatives as well as fumes from gas operated sit-down forklift trucks. Moderate noise levels are present. Job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) that may include, but not limited to; protective gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, protective sleeves, and safety shoes. Minimal possibility of accidents of a minor nature requiring first aid.

  This position is not a supervisory position.
