Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are displayed and stocked in an appealing and organized manner, while also monitoring inventory levels and assisting with customer service. This is a vital role in our retail operation, as you will play a key part in driving sales and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Duties:
- Set up and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers and promote sales
- Ensure products are properly stocked and replenished on shelves and racks
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any stock shortages or overages to management
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate inventory control
- Collaborate with the visual design team to create visually appealing displays that align with brand guidelines
- Use point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer transactions accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, locating products, and offering product recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking supplies as needed
- Supervise and train new merchandising team members as required
Skills:
- Strong market knowledge to understand consumer trends and preferences
- Proficiency in using POS systems for processing transactions
- Ability to supervise and train team members effectively
- Knowledge of visual design principles to create attractive merchandise displays
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic retail math calculations
- Excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide the merchandising team
- Strong inventory control skills to monitor stock levels accurately
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accurate product placement and organization
