Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for meeting established sales goals by utilizing a “hunters” mentality with a focus on government agencies. This position is responsible for providing superior quality and service while maintaining the company’s high standards when interacting with customers, employees, partners, and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within government agencies.
Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending relevant government events.
Stay informed about government policies, initiatives, and funding opportunities that may impact the market.
Achieve monthly & yearly sales quotas across multiple products and services
Create action plan of how to accomplish sales quotas
Develop solid sales techniques using the TSS sales process
Achieve quarterly departmental and personal objectives
Conduct thorough research to identify potential government clients and understand their specific needs, challenges, and procurement processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a deep understanding of our products or services and how they align with government needs.
Deliver compelling and tailored presentations showcasing the value proposition of TSS products or services.
Address client concerns and objections, providing solutions that meet the customer requirements.
Work closely with the sales support team to create customized proposals that align with government specifications and regulations.
Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and achievements.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Explain TSS proven process
Follow up on proposals in a timely manner, and close orders
Document customer information in database/CRM

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant and corporate personnel.

Required Qualifications
Proven track record of success in outside sales, particularly in the government sector.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal communication and phone skills
Detail-oriented and able to focus on multiple tasks at one time
Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems
Proficient with Google Apps and Hubspot CRM preferred
Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
Special Position Requirements:
Ability to travel to customer locations.
Physical Requirements:
Communicate with others and exchange accurate information.
Operate a computer and other office machinery or equipment.
Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets or office machinery.
Work Environment:
This job takes place in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Office employees are required to wear safety glasses, safety shoes, and a highly visible vest at all times in production areas and labs.
