Total Safety is looking for a Fire Alarm Systems Designer to join their safety conscious team! The Fire Alarm Systems Designer designs Fire Alarm Systems per applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software under direct supervision of senior designers. Work includes generating submittal, construction drawings, detail drawings, fire alarm system calculations, system operating sequences, and equipment lists for review by authorities. Responsible for area and support of fabrication, construction, and installation of systems. Work also includes participating in project meetings and interfacing with both internal and external customers.

Working Environment:
Combination of office, shop, indoor and outdoor industrial environments. May be frequently exposed to cold, hot, wet, humid, outside weather conditions and vibration. Works in customer environment. May be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Educational Requirements:
Two-year certificate from college or technical school in related course work or bachelor’s degree preferred.
State of Texas issued FAL (Fire Alarm License) and NICET Level II or higher certification in fire alarm systems required with an expectation to pursue further professional development by obtaining additional NICET accreditation and/or State licensing.
