Fire Alarm Technician
Total Fire and Security is seeking an individual to join our team as a Fire Alarm installation lead technician. This position offers competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package. Job Duties:
· Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable NFPA codes with working knowledge of system controls, alarm panels, devices, and components.
· Understanding of system schematics and wiring diagrams.
· Troubleshoot and repair deficiencies.
· Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
· Proper use and operation of tools required to complete the installation.
· Plan, coordinate, and complete installations as scheduled in a timely manner.
· On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service.
· Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained as required by company policies.
· Ensure that all assigned tools are safeguarded and maintained.
Education, Certifications, Experience:
· Hight School Diploma or equivalent required.
· NICET II and/or state required certification required (FAST).
· Minimum 2 years experience inspecting and/or installing fire alarm systems required.
· Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.
· Must have mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required.
· Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
