Overview: We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. Duties: - Install, program, and troubleshoot alarm systems, including fire alarms, security alarms, and surveillance systems - Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system components - Perform wiring and cabling tasks to connect alarm system components - Test and inspect alarm systems to ensure proper functionality - Provide training to customers on how to operate and maintain their alarm systems - Respond to service calls and perform repairs as needed - Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used - Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers Skills: - Field service experience in the alarm industry is preferred - Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting and mechanical systems is a plus - Familiarity with fire alarm codes and regulations (NEC) - Ability to read and interpret blueprints for system installation - Proficiency in construction inspection techniques - CAD (Computer-Aided Design) skills for system design and layout - Strong problem-solving skills to detect and resolve issues with alarm systems - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately This is a full-time position offering competitive pay based on experience.
