A Day In The Life of an Aircraft Maintenance Technician
As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting aircraft structures while ensuring the highest level of quality and safety of flight.
Essential Duties of The Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Perform maintenance on fixed-wing structures and components
Repair sheet metal, structures, surfaces, and assemblies
Demonstrate mechanical skills and aptitude
Possess a high degree of attention to detail
Comply with all FAA regulatory requirements
Possess necessary hand tools in good working order
Ability to form effective working relationships
Be dependable with good attendance
Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn
Be honest, dignified, and accountable
Demonstrate a commitment to flight safety through industry regulatory, customer contractual, and company policy compliance, including adherence to all repair manuals, technical data, and maintenance manuals.
A&P License or two to three years of applicable work experience in the aviation industry
Successful completion of DOT/FAA Drug Pre-Employment Drug Screening
Pass standard DoD-mandated background check
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language per 14 CFR Part 65.71(a)(2)
Per ITAR/EAR Regulations, employees must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., or properly licensed foreign persons.
