A Day In The Life of an Aircraft Maintenance Technician
The position you are applying for is to repair, refurbish, and/or rebuild parts and equipment on Cargo Loading Systems across multiple types of aircraft. You will interact with and support other technicians in the performance of these duties.
Essential Duties of The Aircraft Maintenance Technician
- Perform article repairs and inspection procedures as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, meeting established deadlines and quality standards
- Complete all required documentation at the conclusion of each task, ensuring all repair and inspection tags include a total description of any discrepancies between removed parts
- Keep assigned workspace and personal toolbox clean and orderly
- Act in compliance with federal regulations and company policy
- Use proper safety equipment and follow all safety procedures
- Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor
Requirements
- A current and valid A&P License required
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of mechanical experience at minimum
- Complete set of hand tools for general maintenance work
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 lbs
- Mechanical and Mathematical Aptitude
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
