Total Aerospace Services is Hiring a Director of Professional Pilot Academic Program Near Salina, KS

As the Director of the Professional Pilot Academic Program, your role is crucial in shaping the future of aviation professionals. You will be responsible for leading the program, overseeing its operations, and innovating in-flight education to ensure that students are well-prepared for successful careers in aviation.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement program improvements based on FAA guidelines.
  • Serve as the main contact for faculty, staff, and student needs.
  • Administer the industry advisory board and assist with budget management.
  • Collaborate on special projects and industry partnerships.

Educational Program Management:

  • Design curriculum aligning with industry standards.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Work with faculty to ensure coursework relevance.
  • Lead assessment and accreditation processes.
  • Develop semesterly course schedules and facilitate faculty onboarding.

Instruction:

  • Teach aviation education courses.
  • Ensure student learning outcomes are achieved.

Service:

  • Participate in campus and community committees.
  • Foster inclusivity, excellent customer service, and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate on special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in professional pilot or aviation-related field OR 5-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Certified Flight Instructor certification and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, especially 14 CFR Part 141.
  • 3 years in collegiate aviation education.
  • Demonstrated innovation in aviation.
