Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting marketing initiatives and assist in creating written, video and image content for marketing channels.

Required: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft experience

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Support in planning, developing and executing marketing initiatives.
• Assist with the preparation of campaigns and reports.
• Support the Media and Communications Manager and other team members with daily administrative tasks.
• Help organize marketing events.
• Apply marketing concepts to solve organizational challenges.

Education

• Enrolled in and on track to graduate from a four-year college/university with a degree in Marketing, Consumer Psychology or a related field.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of marketing strategies.
• Graphic design skills including page layout, image clean-up & manipulation, vector illustration creation (i.e., Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Animations and video editing for social media (i.e., After effects, Premiere).
• Copywriting skills (i.e., social medica, ppc campaigns, eblasts, seo for web content, landing pages, and grammar checks for content is sometimes necessary).
• Website CMS (i.e., content input).
• Professional output for print and web.
• File folder preparation for print and sharing with team members.
• Conceptual ideas and art preferred but not required.
• Aptitude with various social media platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and hardworking.

Physical Requirements

• The Marketing Intern is constantly performing desk-based computer tasks including frequent typing.
