The Role

Lumen is seeking early-career or second-career self-starters who are self-motivated individuals interested in project management. You will participate in our Ops Academy which is a robust training program to jump-start and enable your success in this role. You will learn to manage projects utilizing our technology, networks, products, processes, and customer service best practices.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Assign and track complex projects and processes within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
  • Maintain active communication with internal and external stakeholders, track project issues and document progress within internal systems.
  • Effectively communicate project status to Leadership and cross-organizational teams.
  • Partners across functional work streams to ensure internal partner needs are addressed.
  • Manages Large complex projects and builds partnerships that require cross-organizational coordination.
  • Validate project closure scope and set accurate project closeout milestones.
  • Communicate with responsible party and contract vendors to resolve project errors and complete closing tasks.
  • Work within Lumen systems to collect data and verify a job is properly documented and ready to close.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytic, leadership and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well independently or within a group.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years related experience in telecommunications, engineering, or network planning.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$46,313 - $61,750 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD
$48,700 - $65,000 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY
$51,188 - $68,250 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$53,625 - $71,500 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
