Job Description

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for aSenior Test Engineerprovidingsupport to the HBB/ Kessel Run (KR) Division.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end- user operational testing
  • Using design of experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs.
  • Independently prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise
  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity.
  • Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks.
  • Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness.
  • Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g., fault insertion/fault identification)
  • Deconflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead.
  • Operate with general instructions; but select portions of work are reviewed in detail to measure adequacy of approach, execution, and presentation.
  • Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing.

Job Requirements

Citizenship:Must be a US citizen

Clearance:Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level Clearance

Education:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program

Years' experience:8 years of directly related experience with 5 years of experience in a DoD setting.

  • Test Manager's Course certification or course completion desired
  • Experience with Agile methods, including testing methods for CI/CD, DevSecOps and DevOps
  • Experience with DoD Test and Processes
  • Understanding of cloud architectures and impacts to testing methods.

Additional Information:

Location:Position is located at Hanscom AFB, MA; however, remote candidates will be accepted, but will require occasional travel in support of in-person coverage for test events and test related conferences.
