Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is seeking a highly motivated Electrical | Controls Engineer to support hardware | software development activities for the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) at Detroit Arsenal, Warren, MI. Applicants will provide support to government labs in the creation of an enterprise simulation framework. This framework will support integration with discrete I|O for benchtop LRU's, virtual CAN/J1939 ECU simulation for vehicle ECUs, and digital data bus emulation for additional platform components including but not limited to RS232/422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553 etc. Additionally, further integration with sensors and robotics platforms will be necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment. A well-suited applicant will be self-motivated individual capable of working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with contractors and government employees. Candidate must also possess good oral and written communication skills. Candidate will sit on site with the customer at the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC). Experience working with automotive and | or electronic emulation frameworks including within the DoD is a plus, but not required.
