Torch Technologies, Inc is looking for a Billing Accountant I. This position will require billing experience in a government contract environment, Costpoint experience, and proficiency in Excel.

Work location is Torch corporate headquarters.

Duties include:

• Billing contracts on a bi-weekly and monthly basis to DoD customers through Wide Area Workflow and a variety of other avenues. This includes analysis of WAWF data to determine billing funding levels and assess success of invoice progressing through the WAWF process.
• Set up billing formats and project configurations in Costpoint from information obtained in the contract.
• Identify and resolve revenue issues.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly and annual journal entries, such as direct cost accruals, GSA Fee accruals, CAF accruals.
• Reconcile Billing to Revenue
• Reconcile Billing to Cost Reports
• Monthly review of Accounts Receivable to identify and resolve late payments
• Monthly review of Unbilled Accounts Receivable
• Process contract close-outs and coordinate de-obligations of funding

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent experience. Accounting experience in processing billing for a variety of contract types and customers. Desired candidate will have a working knowledge of close outs and ULOs. Employee must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. They must be able to coordinate easily with other back-office departments including Program Control and Contracts.
