Barber Contractors are self-employed professionals who cut, style, and groom hair for clients. They rent a booth within topshelf barbershop to offer their services. The job involves providing traditional and modern haircuts, beard grooming, and shaving services to clients of all ages and genders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide grooming and hairstyling services to clients according to their preferences and requests
• Consult with clients to determine their likes, dislikes, and styling needs
• Cut and trim hair using scissors or clippers to the desired length and shape
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches to the desired shape and style
• Recommend hair and skin care products to enhance clients' appearance and maintain healthy hair and skin
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and sanitize tools and equipment after each use
• Attend workshops and training sessions to stay updated on current trends and techniques in the industry
• Manage scheduling, payments, and inventory needed for the operation of their business.

Requirements:

• Must have a barber’s license and be certified by the state board
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good knowledge of haircutting techniques and styling trends for different hair types and length
• Must have a creative and artistic eye to personalize the customer experience
• Knowledge of traditional and modern shaving techniques is an advantage
• Must be self-motivated and capable of managing their own business
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Salary:

• Barber Contractors are typically paid by their clients and pay rent to the barbershop

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
