Job Title: Banquet Server
Job Area: Clubhouse
Supervisor: Banquet Captain
A Banquet Server’s main objective is to attend to the Topeka Country Club’s members and their guests, making sure service is in line with and exceeds all expectations they may have.
A banquet server’s responsibilities, in a brief summary, are setting up for events, greeting members and their guests upon arrival, serving drinks and starters, clearing dishes while preparing for the next course, serving dinner and desserts, refilling drinks and handling any requests, clearing dishes again and continuing helping out until all members and their guests have left, finally, clearing the room and resetting for the next days events.
A banquet server should be able to read the Banquet Order Events “BEOs” and see what setup should look like and execute the plan with the help of their team. They should be able to serve and answer questions with a polite and friendly attitude. Finally, a banquet server should be focused and driven to create an experience that makes people want to host their events at TCC.

Requirements:
- At least 16 years of age
- High school diploma, or GED
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Ability to be standing and moving around for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and walk with trays up to 30 lbs
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Able to work by one’s self and on a team

- Set up banquet room as per the event order specifications
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Clear tables efficiently and reset for the next service
- Work closely with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Provide excellent guest service throughout the event
- Follow food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in the banquet area
