About the role 

As our Lead Engineer for Video AI, you'll be leading product engineering for a growing team of engineers dedicated to the Video AI app experience. This is a code-heavy role to start out with, with the opportunity to scale over time. This role requires a strong understanding of product and user experience, paired with strong general technical capability. Video processing experience is not required, but you must be up to the challenge of diving deep into the technology and provide exponential value as your knowledge increases.

About you

• 5 years professional development experienceHigh aptitude for computer programming, with a proven track record of effectiveness and ability to learn new technologies
• Knowledgeable with application and system architecture, UI, networking and performance optimization
• Eye for design, a strong sense of user experience and a high level of craftsmanship
• High level of experience working on consumer-facing products, writing both UI & business/backend logic
• Past project management or leadership experience

• Exposure to image or video encoding/decoding and file formats
• Experience developing native applications for Windows / MacOS
• Experiencing deploying ML models in production environments
• Some history working with applications involving video or live streaming
