River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a weekend nurse supervisor to join our team!

RN preferred for staff education.

Essential Functions of Position

• Observe and record patient behavior.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Collect patient health history if applicable. 
• Consult and educate patients and their families on treatment plans. 
• Administer medication, change wound dressings, and care for other treatment options. 
• Read and interpret patient information and make treatment decisions when appropriate. 
• Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients. 
• Direct and supervise nurses and nurse assistants. 
• Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes. 
• Ensure scheduled staff are available per shift. 
• Assist in dining room during meal hours. 
• Ensure medications/supplies are available on each hall.
• Check for completion of Medicare charting for each shift. 
• Check the general appearance of residents, rooms, and ensure that call lights are being answered in a timely manner. 
• Check previous days' progress notes for any follow up needed. 
• Adress any family concerns.
