About the Role

As the Content Manager at Top Class Actions, you will report to the Director of Digital Strategy and play a pivotal role in managing our website content team. You will be responsible for overseeing the creation, editing, and distribution of website content that aligns with company goals and resonates with our target audience. Additionally, you will enforce and improve our website content strategy, ensuring adherence to SEO best practices, journalistic standards, brand voice, and company style guide. 

To be considered for this role, you must have 5 years of related experience in content management, content strategy, and/or news editorial. Your exceptional writing and editing skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail will contribute to enhancing our brand presence, engaging our audience, and driving business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee a team of full-time and freelance writers and editors.
  • Build and manage website content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic flow of content.
  • Create and maintain efficient processes to ensure high-quality content is delivered on time.
  • Edit various content, including news articles, features, landing pages, sales brochures, and marketing collateral.
  • Create content strategy briefs and provide guidelines for long- and short-form written content for website copy and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Strategy and external vendors to plan, develop, and implement the company’s website content strategy.
  • Collaborate on UX projects to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Collaborate with SEO Strategist to optimize website content and make data-informed decisions to grow website traffic and conversion.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and coach content team members.
  • Occasionally write content as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field.
  • Proven experience in content management, content strategy, and editorial, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong writing and editorial skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization.
  • Proficiency in AP style and a firm understanding of journalism ethics and standards.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing a remote team of writers and editors.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing platforms.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush is a plus. 

Location

Remote or Hybrid in Phoenix.
