Top Aces Corp. is Hiring an Aviation Maint. - QA/Process Inspector Near Mesa, AZ

SUMMARY: Inspects F-16 aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure safe flying and conformance to specifications and FAA regulations and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the installation of parts and inspects the modifications on existing aircraft and equipment.
  • Performs preflight and post flight inspections in order to identify any breach of standards relative to an aircraft's safety-of-flight considerations.
  • Ensures that employees assigned to a production work center follow established procedures and generate a finished product that meets established quality levels.
  • Performs a variety of complex tasks that requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Review source documents and periodic inspection records, noting recurring discrepancies that would require special action.
  • Ensures the configuration of aircraft and components is correct and all essential modifications have been incorporated.
  • Manages functions related to the airworthiness safety aspects of the SMS including - implementation of risk assessment, risk reduction and airworthiness safety enhancement processes and improvement initiatives.
  • Additionally, QA provides guidance to the Chief of Safety and feedback to the TAC Leadership Team on the SMS implementation progress, SMS effectiveness and assists site management with airworthiness safety performance oversight and monitoring. Serves as point of contact with authorities that provide regulatory oversight for the site.
  • Responsible to ensure that the processes are delivering the intended outcomes; responsible for the overall conformity of the QMS to the standard. Reports to the President on the performance of the QMS and opportunities for improvement. Responsible for ensuring that compliance with the standard and other requirements is preserved during maintenance or changes made to the QMS. Responsible for the corrective action process.
  • Provides leadership in the implementation, operation and performance of the SMS as directed by the SMS Manager. Manages functions related to the airworthiness safety aspects of the SMS including - implementation of risk assessment, risk reduction and airworthiness safety enhancement processes and improvement initiatives. Additionally, QA provides guidance to the Chief of Safety and feedback to the TAC Leadership Team on the SMS implementation progress, SMS effectiveness and assists site management with airworthiness safety performance oversight and monitoring. Serves as point of contact with authorities that provide regulatory oversight for the site.
  • Member of the Safety Team.
  • Directs corporate safety initiatives and reviews corporate SMS goals and progress towards meeting these goals; coordinates implementation and execution of SMS elements that are common to all sites.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.


SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • F-16 Aircraft experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9110C, FAA part 91 regulations and FAA Order 8130-2.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Adaptability to listen, analyze, and convey new solutions to analyze project performance and client satisfaction results.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • International and travel throughout the U.S. may be required.
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Safety, Teamwork, Focus, Innovation and Integrity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Software Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project).


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • FAA A&P Certificate Required
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate highly preferred
  • AS9110C Lead Auditor training course preferred


EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of experience in Aviation Quality Assurance
  • Bachelor degree preferred


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
