Laborer - Bathroom Facilities Maintenance

Weekend, Split Shift Schedule

$18.97 / Hourly

Salary Anticipated to increase to $19.96 in July with the new budget year)

Are you looking for a weekend job with a split shift? If so, the Tooele City Parks Division has an opportunity for you. The schedule is generally Friday, Saturday, & Sunday and you'll work from 6 a.

m. to approximately 8 : 00 a.m. to unlock all the bathrooms in our parks. You'll return back to work around 6 : 00 p.m. and begin cleaning and locking the restrooms for the evening.

Most days you'll finish up around 11 : 00 p.m.

Example of duties :

• Lock and unlock public restrooms in our parks in the morning and evenings;
• Cleans toilets, and urinals in restrooms;
• Refills soap / paper towels / toilet paper in restrooms;
• Sweeps and mops floors; hoses down as needed;
• Empties trash cans and replaces trash bags;
• Cleans walls, door handles, mirrors, and other structural elements;
• Handles needles and other infected materials with caution, care, and using appropriate personal protective equipment; and,
• Conducts deep cleaning as needed.

This position requires working in an outdoor environment with exposure to bodily fluids, fecal matter, trash, and environments that others may find unpleasant due to smell or sight.

Will work with hand held cleaning equipment and power equipment such as power washer to complete work tasks.

Must be at least 18 years old and had a driver's license (not learner's permit) for at least 12 months and a driver record acceptable to Tooele City's risk management and insurance standards.

We are seeking a responsible, self starter to who has the ability to communicate with the public in a positive way. Prior custodial experience is a plus.

Must have reliable and predictable attendance and be comfortable with cleaning restrooms.

To be employed in a position that requires driving , you must possess and maintain a valid Utah State Driver License (or obtain prior to hire), 12 months experience driving (not including time for learner's permit), and have a driving record acceptable for Tooele City's insurance and risk management standards.
