Your mission

As a Product Designer, your mission will be to lead the design process within a product team, ensuring our products address the right challenges and consistently enhance the in-app experience in alignment with team objectives. You'll play a pivotal role in every stage of product design, from initial opportunity assessment and brainstorming sessions to the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and visual assets for implementation. Your responsibilities will encompass testing, quality assurance, and ongoing optimization efforts, with a keen focus on accessibility considerations. Collaborating within a product team environment, you'll have the autonomy and accountability to strategize and execute alongside engineers and other product team members, driving towards impactful outcomes. Experience or knowledge in accessibility design is considered a plus. 

The Role 

  • Be responsible for all aspects of usability, design and user experience from loose concepts to final implementation and continues improvement by:
    • Applying design know-how, best practices and design thinking
    • Driving usability tests and user validation iteratively
    • Delivering key screens, flows and main interactions needed for decision making
    • Sparring with user research
    • Participating in project planning and planning research activities
  • Create solid designs that meet user needs, identified business and tech requirements by:
    • Familiar with design research, conducting user interviews, gathering insights, and translating research findings into the product design
    • Defining and applying design principle, standards and TGTG guides
    • Create a design culture with fellow Designers. Spar and align design across platforms
    • Making final design decisions in line with the overall design direction, UX and aesthetics
    • Delivering final design assets and specification to Development for implementation
    • Conduct usability testing with users of all abilities to gather feedback and iterate on designs for optimal accessibility.
    • Checking implementation on most used devices / platforms for a happy UX parth
    • Advocate for accessibility within the organisation and provide guidance and training to team members on accessible design principles and techniques
  • Articulate design decisions and rationale to all relevant partners verbal, written and visually by:
    • Aligning designs with Design colleagues, Design System and existing Figma documentation
    • Driving the design handover to Developers, Data Analysts or 3rd parties (e.g Marketing)
    • Propose copy and content direction for design and hand over to relevant stakeholders.
  • Have a holistic understanding of our users needs, pains and journeys, being their voice in decision making.

The ideal candidate

  • Strong background in product design with a focus on usability, including experience designing for web and mobile platforms.
  • Understanding of accessibility guidelines and standards such as WCAG and familiarity with assistive technologies.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, FigJam, Notion and others.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience conducting research, usability testing and gathering user feedback.
  • Passion for creating inclusive and user-friendly digital experiences.
