Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the operations of our child care center. The Child Care Director will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of all children in our care. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the child care center
- Create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Hire, train, and supervise child care staff
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child's development
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to licensing requirements
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers or therapists, to support children with special needs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing standards
Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
