Logistics Specialist

Tommy’s is looking for a Logistics Specialist that will be responsible for scheduling inbound and outbound freight shipments. This includes LTL and international shipments. The Logistics Specialist will work closely with both Fulfillment and Sales to ensures that all freight is quoted accurately scheduled appropriately, and that all product arrives on time to its respective destination.

Position Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for coordinating LTL and loading outgoing freight 
• Rate shopping and setting up BOLs 
• Oversee Shipping Claims 
• Provide accurate quoting for sales team 
• Schedule Pick-up freight shipments for RMAs 
• Picking finished products/parts from bin locations as indicated on orders 
• Complete general housekeeping and production duties as assigned 
• Assist with warehouse activities as assigned

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes: 

• 1 Year of Logistics experience 
• 1 Year of Shipping and Receiving experience 
• 1 Year Fork Lift Experience 
• Proficient in Word and Excel 
• Must be able to Problem Solve and Multi-task 
• High School Diploma 

Work Environment 

This job operates in a warehouse environment. Logistics operating hours are from 9:00am - 5:00pm however can fluctuate based on needs. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and warehouse equipment like hi-lo, pallet jacks, hand and power tools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The team member will frequently sit and stand work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking. Lifting between 50 - 70 lbs. Must be able to effectively communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information. Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions. Ability to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This position is full time. On average the Team Member will work 40 to 45 hours a week. Could possibly work on a weekend or respond to phone calls or emails in the evening. 

Travel 

Travel is primarily local during the business day. Potential travel to franchise locations.
