Tolland Veterinary Hospital is a fast-paced multi doctor hospital with an excellent team of animal lovers and a positive work environment. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionateand enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our close-knit group. The ideal candidate would have previous experience as a Surgery Technician, although the position may include other aspects of the veterinary hospital.

About the job (Responsibilities and qualifications):

- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring of animals

- Candidates must have at least 1 year of veterinary experience
- Basic knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
- Proficient in performing laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassion and empathy towards animals and the human counterparts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
