We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Cash Counter. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately counting and processing cash, monitoring automated cash counting machines, and retrieving cash from various TARTA locations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a bank teller or working in a retail cash office, possess strong numerical skills, and be able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.

Note: This position is part-time and limited to 12 hours per week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately count and process cash transactions, including currency and coins.
• Monitor and maintain automated cash counting machines to ensure proper functionality.
• Retrieve cash from designated TARTA locations, following established procedures and protocols.
• Prepare and reconcile cash deposits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Adhere to security procedures and protocols to safeguard cash and prevent losses.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cash counting stations and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a bank teller or working in a retail cash office.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office and cash handling software preferred.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
