Job Description
Tobias Solutions is seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles with a manual transmission. Our client values safety, professionalism, and adherence to regulations, therefore candidates must have a clean driving record with no speeding tickets, accidents, or driving while on the phone tickets.
As a CDL Class A Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to designated locations in a timely and safe manner. Candidates must be drug-free and able to communicate effectively in English. Tanker experience is preferred, but not required, as training will be provided.

Compensation:
28% of load

• Direct deposit, paid biweekly.

• Loads start in Houston, TX, and go to Austin, San Antonio, Waco, Dallas, and Belton, TX.
• No pets or smoking in the truck. (A $400 fine will apply.)
• Clean driving record with no speeding tickets, accidents, or driving while on the phone tickets.
• Willingness to work early morning hours and flexible schedules as needed.

Requirements
What you'll need:

• Must be at least 25 years old, or older.
• Updated medical card (within six months).
• Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with two years of experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred, but not required (training provided).
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to communicate with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• No current CDL suspension or revocation.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and good DAC Report.
• No tickets or accidents in the past three years.
• Clean background.
• Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to learn effectively and operate a GPS.
• Must be able to use handheld technology and smartphone applications.
• Ability to scale up to 44,000 pounds.
• Ability to secure loads with straps.
• Ability to perform pre and post-trip instructions.
• Driver cannot do backward loads.
• No loaded trucks parked at home or on the side of the road (ONLY AT A MAJOR TRUCK STOP).

This is a local position, and drivers will be home every night. Routes will primarily cover transportation from Houston to San Antonio, Waco, Dallas, Austin, and Belton Texas.
