Full job description:

A growing ecommerce company in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Heat Press Operator with a creative flair. This position can eventually lead to a several advancement opportunities. You will work as part of a team that will personalized/customized robes, shirts, mugs, hats, tumblers, flasks, glasses and more. This is a fast-paced environment with very strict deadlines, where a certain number of orders must be completed daily.

Hours:

40 hours per week along with overtime, offered.

Shifts:

1) 8:30a-4:30p (Mon-Fri)

2) 9a – 5p (Mon-Fri)

Pay Range: $14 - $17 hourly based on experience. Raise and bonuses offered and are based on performance, after trial period and tenure.

Duties:

• Completes personalizations and customizations on a variety of blank materials and items by viewing the work-order and executing with precision.
• Adhere to all established facility and safety guidelines.
• Inspects products before, during and after press.
• Execute various maintenance tasks on machines as required.
• Organize daily workflow to maximize production efficiency.
• Light janitorial work
• Assist in other roles as needed
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process

Requirements

• This job does require you to be on your feet most of the day, must be able to stand for 4-5 hours at a time.
• Previous experience as a Heat Press Operator or in a similar role
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance.
• Repetitive movement of the body is required, especially with hands and back.
• Must have good vision in evaluating colors, design placement and measurements.
• You will be exposed to direct heat, but the environment is climate controlled.

Qualifications:

This is an entry level position with great growth opportunities.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to speak and read English.
• Must be able to pass background check.
• Experience using a heat press machine is a strong plus but will train.
• Prior experience working in T-Shirt Printing, Embroidery or Manufacturing is a plus.
