TN Voices is Hiring a Teen Connect Facilitator Near Goodlettsville, TN

Qualifications: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent – bachelor’s degree preferred. Family member or caregiver of child with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorder preferred. Personal experience with children’s emotional and behavioral health issues and in navigating child-serving systems. Non-profit organization experience and work history within child serving systems preferred.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Experienced in training and recruiting individuals and caregivers, as well as coalition building.
  • Professional development training and technical assistance skills.
  • Experience in building and maintaining professional relationships with local agencies and individuals in the community (particularly the Upper Cumberland Region).
  • Experience and capabilities of working with culturally diverse populations.
  • Knowledge and personal experience with children who have emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Knowledge and experience with the juvenile justice, Department of children services, educational, and other child-serving systems.
  • Knowledge of the service area and of resources for children with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Proven commitment to system of care principles and to working effectively as a part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving/creative thinking skills.
  • Proficient computer and writing skills.

Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:

  • Marketing to and recruitment of training participants and volunteers- giving special attention to participant needs and superb customer service to participants through all events.
  • Securing and managing training logistics, including event space.
  • Provide Teen Connect training to families, a minimum of 12 groups annually consisting of a minimum of 6 participants.
  • Utilize social media and other marketing strategies to engage and recruit trainees.
  • Responding to communications and training requests, including on-going communications, project-based communications, and upcoming events, as well as coordinating the responses to requests.
  • Housing, maintaining, and updating the documentation and databases pertaining to training programs and participants.
  • Ensure that we conform to CARF standards applicable to the services provided.
