The Inpatient and Skilled Nursing Facility Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, providing and documenting direct and indirect nursing care for a designated group of hospital patients or skilled nursing facility residents in accordance with the physician's plan of care. All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, HSC Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The RN also provides nursing care interventions, preventing complications and promoting improvement in the patients'/residents' comfort and wellness, informing the interdisciplinary team of their condition as appropriate. All efforts are directed towards continuous quality improvement and family-centered care.

Minimum Education:
Associate's Degree Graduate of a fully accredited school of nursing (Required) or
BSN Graduate of a fully accredited school of nursing (Preferred)

Minimum Work Experience:
- At least one (1) year pediatric experience preferred or
- At least one (1) to two (2) years nursing experience preferred

Required Skills:
- Must have basic computer skills.

- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients serves on his or her assigned unit.

- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients’ status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient requirement relative to his or her age-specific needs.

Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse Current RN license from the District of Columbia Upon Hire.

- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Upon Hire (Required)

- Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) Certification in Pediatric Rehabilitation or other sub-specialties (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.58 - $50.96 per hour
