Forklift Operator/Material Handler

About the Job

Summary: The forklift Operator/ Material Handler will handle the responsibilities for loading, and unloading natural stone bundles and maintaining a safe and secure place for the stock in the warehouse.

The duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Will be responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing inventory in the warehouse
• Will be responsible for unloading natural stone bundles from the container using a 15,500-pound forklift.
• Will be responsible for arranging natural stone slabs on A-Frames in the warehouse.
• Will be responsible for loading natural stone slabs on flatbed trucks for delivery.
• Will maintain and check inventory on a routine basis.
• Keep a safe and secure environment in the warehouse.

Additionally, the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

• Two (2) plus years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.
• Ability to use Smart Phones/Tablets
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task

This role has the following physical demands:

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
